With customers’ mission-critical needs always in mind, our employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea and cyber domains in the interest of national security.<br><br><strong>Job Title: Manufacturing Technician C<br><br></strong><strong>Job Code: 36319<br><br></strong><strong>Job Location: Stennis Space Center<br><br></strong><strong>Job Schedule: 1st Shift 4/10: Employees work 10 hours per day, 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs 6:30am-5pm) <br><br></strong><strong>Job Description:<br><br></strong>We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician C to join our team at Stennis Space Center, MS.<br><br>In this role, you will work with technicians and quality assurance personnel, as well as supporting assembly, test, and delivery of large rocket engines and components, with primary responsibility for rocket engine test preparation, test, and post-test processing. You will have an opportunity to develop specialized knowledge of engine and component function & assembly, pre and post-test processing and functional testing and inspections. Work with staff in related disciplines, including contractors, and customers, to ensure successful assembly, testing, and delivery of L3Harris products.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Knowledge of mechanical systems, various measuring and testing devices, and experience with hand tools are essential.</li><li>Understand and interpret required engineering drawings, instructions, and technical manuals.</li><li>Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as high-pressure pneumatic, cryogenic and hydraulic systems, NDT equipment, etc.</li><li>Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) in a safe manner.</li><li>Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% as required.</li><li>Work at heights and in confined areas.</li><li>Learn and follow detailed processes associated with the operation and maintenance of large-scale rocket engine test facilities.</li><li>Pass an eye exam and certifications such as confined spaced entry, respirator, lock out- tag out, cryogenic safety, process safety management, etc.</li><li>Must be willing to work all shifts and weekends.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain NASA Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) security clearance.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Additional Skills:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Aerospace background with A&P license/military equivalent proficiency test, preferred.</li><li>Work well independently, as well as in a team environment.</li><li>Have good communication skills and demonstrate good attention to detail during performance of roles and responsibilities.</li><li>The ability to operate computers and special software associated with graphical user interfaces are preferred.<br><br><br></li></ul>L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
