Job Summary

Responsible for facilitating access to courses, programs, services, activities, and facilities as well as the management of test taking accommodations for students with disabilities.
Works in collaboration with the students and faculty to develop and implement best practices while ensuring seamless accommodation provision and exam conditions in the proctoring environment.
Assists with the department's procurement processes.

  • Meets with students to identify barriers to full participation in the curricular and co-curricular environments and determine appropriate accommodations based on the student's disability information.
  • Coordinates the provision of reasonable accommodations in consultation with students, faculty and staff.
  • Maintains appropriate records by documenting communication with and regarding students and recording recommended courses of action or accommodations.
    Maintains appropriate confidentiality in verbal and written communications.
  • Supports the departmental leadership in preparing and monitoring goals for the Biscayne Bay Campus operations.
  • Responds to service inquiries and provides consultation and customer service information to students, faculty, staff and community stakeholders.
  • Supervises and assumes responsibility for the direction of all student testing and services for students with disabilities at the Biscayne Bay Campus.
    Oversees and coordinates all exam administration and scheduling in the in person and online course offerings to ensure that exam security and student confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Coordinates testing location throughout campus so as to ensure an inclusive educational test taking environment such as:
    minimal distraction group testing rooms and small individual rooms that support distraction-reduced testing.
    Responsible for administration of proctoring services offered to students.
  • Assists with coordinating the development, scheduling, and implementation of new and ongoing academic/student programs, workshops, or services.
    Performing other administrative duties supporting training, including researching and recommending new programs and/or revisions to existing programs.
  • Helps with coordinating and/or administering the operational and/or financial activities associated with an academic/student program, department, service, or function.
  • Assists the Assistant Director in monitoring accounts/expenditures and reconciles statements.
    Advises management on budgetary needs and assists with processing vendor invoices and payments.
    Enters purchase orders, change orders, and receipts at direction of the budget administrator.
  • Ensures that the staff are compliant with University policies and procedures; including bot not limited to confidentiality on student records.
  • Oversees and facilitates specific activities/tasks/assignments for the department.
    Also serves as a liaison between students and the university community.
  • Maintains appropriate records by documenting communication with and regarding students and recording recommended courses of action or accommodations.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of office or related experience.
