WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY. The Department of Spanish invites applications for a one-year renewable, non-tenure-track faculty position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish, effective July 1, 2026.
Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in Spanish is preferred for the position but advanced ABD candidates will also be considered. Area of specialization is open. Qualified applicants will have experience teaching undergraduate Spanish language courses in a 4-year college or university setting, training or professional activity related to foreign language pedagogy, and native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English.


Position Summary: The successful candidate will join a department known for its high-quality, engaged teaching. This individual will be expected to teach 6 courses per year in Spanish primarily at the elementary and intermediate levels of the undergraduate curriculum.
